History of Cheney Door Company

Cheney Door was established in 1971 by Keith and Pat Bomholt. Son Kenny and daughter Deann both work in the company. Cheney Door has been successful for more than 45 years, due to the dedication of our loyal customers, focus on quality and service, and our family of employees and suppliers.

Keith Bomholt

Keith Bomholt was elected to the board of directors of the International Door Association in August 2000. He also serves on the Safety and Insurance Committee. He served as the Event Chairman for the Wichita River Festival Antique Bath Tub Race and is co-founder of the Miracle House.

• In 2016, Keith Bomholt received the Jerry R. Reynolds Volunteer Leadership Award from the International Door Association.

• In 2008, we received the “Top 20 of 2007” award from BEAM Central Vacuum Systems.
• In 2000, we Company received the seal of approval from the International Door Association as the only Accredited Door Dealer in the state of Kansas.
• The company was recognized as an outstanding distributor/dealer of door and gate operators by Operator Specialty Co.
• In 1999, the company received the Winner’s Circle Award at the Raynor International Distributor Sales Conference and recognition as one of the top fifty Raynor distributors in the world.
• Cheney Door Company received the International Door Association’s Joe Caputo Dealer of the Year Award in 1995.
• The company is a member of the Wichita Area Builders Association and the Wichita Chamber of Commerce.
